Our Mission

Survivors of natural disasters face challenges they never signed up for — destroyed homes, ruined possessions and being forced to start over. But in times of disaster, support from compassionate Catholics is a lifeline to families in crisis. By providing emergency meals, medicines, medical supplies, temporary shelter, clothing and spiritual support through our global network of ministry partners, we are able to share Christ’s love with practical support. For example, last year, friends like you helped refugees fleeing the war in Ukraine and survivors of the catastrophic earthquake
in Morocco.

Your support will bring aid to where it’s needed most.

A gift to meet the most urgent needs of the poor allows us to respond to their emergency needs as they arise — sharing God’s love in times of natural disasters, famines, droughts or regional instability. Empowered by donors like you, Cross Catholic Outreach works to meet the most urgent needs of the poor by cost-effectively funding transformative development projects established by Catholic ministries already serving
overseas.

Homes

Many of the world’s poorest families live in crumbling mud houses or other fragile, leaky shelters. These makeshift dwellings offer little to no protection from the rain or vermin, let alone natural disasters such as hurricanes and earthquakes. They also provide little privacy or security and require frequent repairs.

Last year, friends like you helped Cross Catholic Outreach build or repair 407 homes for more than 1,400 people in developing countries. This year, join us in giving even more families a safe place to live, by supporting the efforts of our frontline ministry partners around the
world.
